[스페셜경제= Dongsu Kim] Samuel Little, 78, and a known serial killer who has taken the lives of 90 people confessed to his crimes last year, but the number of crimes he committed against many now-dead women has driven the FBI to release the portraits of his victims to the public in hopes that someone can recognize them.

According to the BBC, Little has murdered 90 people over the last three decades with help from his boxing background. The report stated that for the duration of the murders, which lasted from 1970 to 2005, Little would use his skills as a boxer and punch his victims before strangling them.

Being trained as a competitive boxer, he inflicted injuries to his victims so that it would not appear to be “obvious signs” of murder. In addition, Little only targeted “marginalized and vulnerable women,” which probably contributed to the fact that a lot of the deaths have either gone uninvestigated or the bodies were unidentified.

The US criminal justice system is now contemplating that perhaps Little is “one of the most prolific serial killers in US history.”

Little also made his murders look anything like it as the FBI revealed that Little would make it look like the deaths were caused by anything other than murder. The FBI said he would proceed with the murders in such a way that they would be attributed to other things like drug overdoses, accidents, and natural causes.

The unearthed portraits are the FBI’s way to find out if some of the women he drew can be identified by surviving relatives.

First caught in 2012, Little had already been arrested on drug charges in a homeless shelter in Kentucky. He was later extradited to California where, after a DNA testing, he was eventually linked to three unsolved murders that transpired between 1987 and 1989.
